LRTTC is pleased to provide this Tournament Report for the 2015 Annual Friends of India Table Tennis Tournament!

The annual Friends of India table tennis tournament is a friendly and competitive gathering of table tennis enthusiasts to promote diversity of cultures, provide a positive atmosphere for social interactions, and participate in the healthy and fun sport of table tennis.

Thanks to the volunteers from LRTTC and Friends of India - Central Arkansas who were able to make it early to help with equipment setup and tournament preparations and stay to take down equipment and put everything away.  Special thanks to Ryan, Josh, and Grant of the Jim Dailey Fitness & Aquatic Center staff who helped us make this tournament a success.

Lauren Clark, the Volunteer/Communications Coordinator of Little Rock Parks & Rereation visited us and posted video clips on Instagram.  She also provided a tournament update on their Twitter feed. LRTTC is very fortunate for the opportunity to play and hold events at the Jim Dailey Fitness & Aquatic Center.  It is a top notch facility with a friendly staff.  They'v been very instrumental in helping LRTTC provide a great table tennis experience for players of all ages and skill levels.

The activity room and the gym were reserved for the tournament all day.  We set up 2 tables in the activity room and 4 tables in the gym.  Friends of India provided Subway lunch and sports drinks for a participants.  We took in over $200 in entry fees.

Congratulations to all of the participants and event winners!  With 21 players competing in the tournament, the field was larger than last year's tournament and just 5 players short of the 2013 tournament that saw 26 players compete.

However, this year's tournament stands out as the first time that a Novice Singles event had a field large enough for a double round robin format.   Nine novice players competed in an initial round robin format of 3 groups of 3 players, with all players advancing to either the A, B, or C divisions.

A field of 9 players competed in the Open Singles.  In the Women's Singles, the final was a round robin of 3 players.  Similarly, Open Doubles final was a round robin of 3 teams.

Below are the results of all the events. Be sure to check out the photos and videos after the results.
